ITDS students participated in Black Lives Matter Week of Action, an ongoing movement of critical reflection and honest conversations in school communities for people of all ages to engage with critical issues of social justice. This year, students focused on the themes of Empathy, Diversity, and Black Families. At ITDS, we want every child to know that they are valued and important in our world despite messages, bold and subtle, to the contrary. We are proud to use the Black Lives Matter Week of Action principles to support ITDS students in civic engagement, where they grapple with issues of racism and discrimination while building their empathy, collaboration, and agency. #ITDSproud
